This is an amazing idea for a sharing dish when you have guests over or are throwing a dinner party etc... Or you can even do what I did and take them with you as a snack for a day trip to the coast! They are filling, portable and easy to eat, making them perfect for any kind of trip.
Using minimal ingredients, time and effort, you get these delicious, crunchy triangles at less calories than normal store bought tortilla chips, and you can control what goes into them i.e. less salt = happy heart!
I was surprised by how crispy they become and just how moreish they are. They would pair deliciously with any dip, but I love them with some humous (taking the traditional pairing to another tasty level!)

INGREDIENTS (3 servings):
3 wholemeal pita bread
3 tbsp rapeseed oil
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/3 tsp salt and pepper
spices (oregano, basil, garlic, salt, etc) - optional
METHOD:
Preheat the oven to 200°C .
Mix oil with paprika and any other seasoning you wish to use. Separate each pita bread into 2 thin rounds (you can easily do this where the pita naturally splits. Slice each piece into triangles, larger or smaller, whatever you prefer.
Place chips on baking sheet/greaseproof paper then brush them with the oil mixture, ensuring to coat them evenly. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and spices for more flavourful chips if desired.
Bake 5-10 minutes, until crisp and lightly brown.
