About Me
When people say Food Is Life, it literally is in my case. Even as a baby my mum told me I’d go through not one, but TWO jars of baby food. It’s pretty obvious if you see my baby photos…
My passion for cooking stems from being brought up in a family and culture that is all about food and flavour. Whenever we cook meals for a family of 5 – it could probably feed another 5 people. If we have guests, we’d always offer food. And if we have an extended family gathering, there is literally no limit to the amount and variety of food there will be.
I’m lucky to have grown up with my mum and grandmas, who are all amazing cooks, and they’ve each taught me a lot about cooking – all of which translates into everything I make now.
I’m currently on a journey of healthy eating, and when I first started I didn’t think I could do it because I love food too much, and everything I eat has to have some flavour to it. After researching recipe ideas and looking at foods which are good and bad for you, I started tweaking dishes to my own taste by adding seasoning or eating certain dishes with healthier sides etc. Now I find it as easy as ever and absolutely LOVE cooking and experimenting to find ways to jazz up my healthy meals.
I believe food isn’t just for eating, it’s for sharing – cooking together, swapping ideas and talking about all the different cuisines unites people. And notice, when people talk about food, they are always HAPPY.
That is why I want to start sharing what I’ve learnt, and I want people to enjoy eating healthy as much as I do! Plus, there is no such thing as too many recipes!
All of my meal ideas and recipes are full of flavour and good for the tummy! I’ve also gathered some tips and tricks that have really helped me when I’m cooking or planning meals. You’ll also notice that I tend not to give exact measurements. This is because everyone’s tastes are different, therefore this way you are able to cook to your individual taste and experiment a little too!
