Energy balls are a great option if you're in the mood for a snack but don't want to open up a packet of crisps or biscuits!!

This combination is great if you're not a fan of overly sweet flavours and packs a bunch of nutrients using only the good stuff! All you need is a few store cupboard ingredients and a food processor!

INGREDIENTS (makes 10-12 balls):

  • 1 cup dates (pitted)

  • 3 tbsp @wholeearthfoods peanut butter (or other nut butter)

  • 1 cup ground almonds

  • 1/2 cup seed mix

  • 1 scoop @myproteinuk chocolate protein powder

METHOD:

  1. Allow the dates to soak in warm water for 10-15 mins before draining and placing in a food blender. Blitz until they form small pieces.

  2. Add in the rest of the ingredients and blitz again until it is all fully combined.

  3. Take about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll into ping pong size balls.

  4. Place in an airtight container and keep refrigerated for 3-4 days for freeze for up to a week.
