These are literally little drops of heaven and they taste just like chocolate! All you need is a food processor and a few simple ingredients and you can enjoy them as a snack pre/post workout, or even just because!
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup pitted dates (if dry, soak in warm water for 10 minutes, then drain well)
3 tbsp peanut butter (or other nut butter)
¼ dark chocolate (you can get really creative here and put in flavoured chocolate like mint or seal salt!)
2/3 cup rolled oats
1 scoop (30g) chocolate protein powder
METHOD:
Pulse the pitted dates in a food processor or blender until they’re in small pieces.
Next add the oats, chocolate (break into smaller pieces by hand first), protein powder and peanut butter and pulse again until combined (there should be consistently small pieces but not overly processed).
Gently roll into small ping pong size balls – the mixture should make about14-15 balls.
Finally pop in the fridge or freezer to set for 15 minutes. Otherwise, eat as is! They will keep fresh in an air-tight bag or container for up to a week, or they can be frozen for longer.
