Chilli, Garlic & Lemon Prawns

A simple, yet mouthwateringly tasty idea for a starter when you're hosting a dinner party! This recipe is super easy, and quick too! I love the combination of flavours in this, and garlic just pairs so perfectly with prawns.


The recipe below serves about 2-3 people so feel free to double, triple, or quadruple up if you're having a house full of guests!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 300g Black Tiger King Prawns

  • 1-2tbsp garlic - finely chopped or ground

  • 1tbsp green chilli - finely chopped or ground

  • 1tsp salt

  • 1/2tsp turmeric

  • 1tsp coriander & cumin powder

  • 1/2 lemon

  • dried chilli flakes

RECIPE:

  1. In a wok or large pan, heat 1tsp of oil then sizzle in the garlic and green chillies for about 30-40 seconds.

  2. Add in the prawns and stir, then sprinkle in the salt, turmeric and coriander & cumin powder. Mix well unit the prawns are coated with all of the seasoning.

  3. Squeeze in the fresh lemon juice and stir again, then sizzle until the prawns are fully cooked through.

  4. Before serving, top with some dried chilli flakes if you want the extra kick!

  5. Serve with cocktail sticks on its own or with mint chutney!
